About backdoors

Backdoors are basically hidden garrisons or sublairs near the enemy headquarter. From there you and your team can quickly surprise the enemy and lay waste to the base...or at least cause some distraction. Below is a good example on how to setup a backdoor and how it affects the game. The best way to get a backdoor is to ask one of your officers to sneak past the enemy lines, hidden as a scout or disguised as the enemy (Shapeshifter). When the officer has reached the backdoor location, drop a garrison/sublair and ask your officer to place a spawnportal. Then use the "Recall" spell on him so he can come back as builder/conjurer to speed up the building process. Notice though that the backdoor tactic can be very risky depending on your situation. Making this decision has a heavy impact on the gameflow. If you want to watch the replay of the match, the ID is #68858

very good example of BD...
And it show that BackDoors and siege rush have more
chance to sucseed if the ennemy best action players are in hellbourne
form...
In fact, they can't be recalled while they are Hellbourne Units. so
less experieced player will go and protect the main base, wich make the assault
much more easer.
Hope that have been understandable...

That stratagy might work, but you have presented it in a situation where it
could not possibly fail. THe enemy Com didn't even have any towers which would
have at least slowed them down, not to mention somone from the north base coming
down would have been easily able to kill your BD as it didn't even have any
towers.
BD's do work well, but in a situation like that one must wonder where
the enemy com had an SF of about 0....
